Dedication of the Propp Family Research Complex Floor Is Marked
During the 58th Annual Meetings of the Board of Trustees in late May, Bar-Ilan University and its American Friends celebrated the dedication of the Propp Family Research Complex Floor within the Gonda (Goldschmeid) Mutidisciplinary Brain Research Center. The Propp Complex Floor was dedicated by Mortimer, Seymour and Ephraim Propp in loving memory of their parents Morris & Anna Propp and in tribute to Bar-Ilan University for its leadership in the advancement of neuroscience.
Speaking on behalf of the family, Gail Propp, Vice President and Secretary of the American Friends of Bar-Ilan University, said, "I grew up in a home where responsibility to the community was instilled in us, and I married into a family with the same values. We hope that the professors here will continue to make strides in our understanding of the brain. It is important for us to support Bar-Ilan because of its commitment to Zionism and Jewish tradition. One of my late husband's proudest moments was when he received an honorary doctorate from the University."
The Propp Complex Floor is home to scholars advancing neuroscience research on a variety of frontiers, including language and cognitive development, parent-child relations, drug addiction, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, brain development in premature infants, early markers of ADHD, and much more.
