They are consulted, involved, respected. The Center specializes in policy-pertinent research on matters of strategy, security and peace in the Middle East at the specific request of the foreign and defense policy-making establishment.
The Begin-Sadat Center has developed cooperative relationships with strategic study centers and government defense agencies worldwide, from Ankara to Washington and from London to Seoul. Since its founding in 1991 at BIU, the BESA Center has published more than 35 publications in English and Hebrew, and been host to numerous international and local conferences.
A non-partisan and independent institute, the Center is dedicated to the memory of Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin and Egyptian President Anwar Sadat, whose efforts in pursuing peace laid the cornerstone for future conflict resolution in the Middle East. BESA Research Associates are seeking visionary partners who will carry on the legacy of Begin and Sadat to bring about a future that is secure and peaceful for the State of Israel.
