Discusses Unique Book in the Boca Raton Home of Dr. William and Deborah Rand

BOCA RATON, FLORIDA - JANUARY 27, 2009 Dr. Aliza Lavie, a Political Science professor at Israel’s Bar-Ilan University (BIU), recently discussed her book, A Jewish Woman’s Prayer Book, to an intimate gathering of BIU supporters in Boca Raton.  This reception and presentation was held in the magnificent home of Dr. William and Deborah Rand.

Already a phenomenon in the Middle East (selling more than 100,000 copies to the Jewish, Christian, and Islamic public), A Jewish Woman’s Prayer Book is a stunning, one-of-a-kind collection of prayers that seeks to preserve and revive the reservoir of insight and faith passed down through generations of Jewish women.  More than just a prayer book, the collection offers a glimpse into the rich but often-forgotten history of Jewish women’s involvement in the creation and dissemination of prayers and restores women’s prayer to its rightful place in the forefront of faith.
